Inexpensive Yard Décor

Everyone wants to have the perfect yard, although not everyone has the budget to spend thousands of dollars on landscapers to have the perfect yard. This doesn’t mean you can’t have an excellent yard. There are plenty of yard décor options that don’t require you to spend a lot of money. Before you start to select and add yard décor it is important that you have your lawn perfectly manicured. Having a mowed lawn with no weeds or trash goes a long way to helping provide a good look for your yard. Trash will often gather along the perimeter of a fence enclosing a lawn due to wind.

Making Your Own Decorations

One of the easiest things you can do yourself to help with yard décor is the stepping stones. All you need is some old pizza pans, shallow bowls or even cardboard boxes for forms and a bag of quick-setting concrete. For extra flair you can add marbles or other novelties you prefer to the bottom of the form before you pour in the concrete. Then when you turn out your new stepping stones these objects will be on the top of your stones. After drying to help the stone come out easier, you should spray the form with non-stick cooking spray. These stepping stones can be an excellent addition to your yard décor no matter where you decide to place them.

If you want to add a birdbath to your front or back yard you can easily do this yourself. You will save a lot of money by using inexpensive common items to build your own unique birdbath to add to your yard décor. Visiting a dollar store will present you with several options for bowls that can be used in making your birdbath. You should choose a bowl that is made of any material other than glass and it should be large at the top and smaller towards the bottom. You can simple stack the bowls upside down with a rock between them and then placing the top bowl ride side up, this can also provide you with a unique piece of décor for your yard.

Inexpensive Décor Options

When it comes to gardening, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get excellent looking plants and flowers. When outlining your flower gardens you can buy gardening timbers. You can also stack these beams two to three high if you want to make a raised garden area. You can choose between many species of plants that are inexpensive and quick to grow. An excellent option is wild flower packets which are the cheapest of most flowers and give your yard décor an excellent burst of both color and nature.
